December 1 - 23
Deadline for submission 11:59 pm on October 27
MULTIPLES is a show of works in multiple. We are looking for artists to create editions of 25 identical or nearly identical works, which would be available for individual sale. Editions can be traditional like an edition of 25 Intaglio prints, a drawing or painting of the same composition done 25 times, 25 monotype video pieces (you can figure out what that is), or anything in between!
For submission, each artist only needs to submit one of the works from the edition. Artists can still submit up to two works or two editions of 25 each.
- No media restrictions
- Digital print reproductions (like copies and giclees) are acceptable only if the original medium is also digital.
- Editions must be sellable
- Each work in the edition must be priced below $100
- Entries must fit through VAE’s 104″ x 71″ door to be exhibited
- Juried with JPEGs
- Two entries per artist
- Entries must be received by 11:59pm on October 27, 2017
Please use the online entry form to submit artwork details and pay your entry fee. The online entry form streamlines the process for both artists and VAE staff, is the best way to ensure your artwork's label information is correct and allows you to upload an image of your piece so that VAE can do more to promote your work!
$10 per member
$15 per non-member
* Entry fees are per artist not per artwork
Artists can enter up to 2 pieces

All files should be named like so: 01_LASTNAME_TITLE.jpg, 02_LASTNAME_TITLE.jpg.

Read info about captioning videos on Youtube, with iMovie, or Quicktime! Please only submit video art or video documentation of an art piece that requires video to be fully experienced. Do not send video walk-throughs of static exhibitions or video slideshows. While web-hosted submissions are strongly preferred, video and audio samples can be submitted on CD if necessary. Please contact Kyle Hazard to make arrangements for CD delivery prior to deadline. Follow the filename format for works as indicated above.
Audio: Audio should be submitted as separate MP3 files. Each track should be no longer than 2 minutes. Follow the filename format for works as indicated above.
Web-based: Web-based work should be submitted as a URL listed in the work sample list. Please only submit web-based projects. A portfolio website that features audio/video art and still images will not be considered.
