Ava Procknow (she/her) is an artist and administrator currently serving VAE as Co-Director and the Director of Operations. A Minneapolis native and recent performing arts expat, she studied theatre alongside gender studies at the University of Minnesota where her work focused on critical pedagogy, theatre of the oppressed, and modes of applied theatre with trans youth.

Beyond her work in theatre, she is an increasingly multidisciplinary artist and writer with a particular interest in animation, zines, and altgames. In her human life, she enjoys cooking, tabletop role-playing games, and broadly prefers to be on her bike whenever possible.
