Marco Rodriguez-Linares is a contemporary minimalist artist whose work explores the relationship between simplicity, order, and the complexities of human experience. His artistic journey began in childhood through painting, sculpture, and writing, establishing an enduring interest in visual expression and the ability of art to communicate ideas and emotions beyond words.
His practice has evolved into a contemporary minimalist visual language rooted in geometric forms, balance, proportion, space, and intentionality. Through carefully constructed compositions and a restrained visual approach, Marco explores how geometry and simplicity can create a sense of harmony, balance, and tranquility.
Geometric shapes become more than formal elements; they serve as a visual language through which Marco explores movement, structure, emotion, and the relationship between the individual and their surroundings. By reducing compositions to essential forms, he creates space for contemplation and invites viewers to pause, observe, and experience a sense of calm.
Marco’s work has been exhibited throughout North Carolina, including at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Diamante Arts & Cultural Center as part of the Herencia exhibition, William & Company in Raleigh, Oberlin Regional Library, GreenHill Center for NC Art in Greensboro, and The CoLab in Raleigh.
Through his practice, Marco invites viewers to discover beauty in simplicity and moments of tranquility within the complexity of everyday life.
