VAE Raleigh believes that art matters because it is a voice and a tool to communicate thoughts, feelings and experiences that escape normal vocabulary. By helping creative people make and share thoughtful work, VAE helps the Triangle be a more vibrant place to call home.

VAE builds its 50+ annual exhibits and 50+ annual programs by listening and responding to what the community needs. Small, artist-run organizations like VAE depend on inspiration, feedback, and support from their communities to exist.
