August 3 - September 29 11:00am-10pm
THE EVERYDAY is a multi-venue, multi-discipline, cross-disability project headed by an international steering committee with the curatorial goal of highlighting universal experiences, told from the disability perspective, presented in an audacious way.
THE EVERYDAY's central exhibition in VAE's Main Gallery is an exhibition exploring universal themes experiences which we all share: romantic and familial love, employment, citizenship, education, and caregiving, to name a few. Following the curatorial theme of the overarching EVERYDAY project, this exhibition will showcase works that tell stories, using universal experiences or ideas, but presented in audacious ways.
VAE is providing an Audio Described tour of the exhibition at 8pm on both August and September First Friday Art Walks.
Braille and large-print gallery guides are available in the exhibition.
Private tours on days/during hours when VAE is closed to the public are available. Please contact Kyle Hazard to schedule your visit: firstname.lastname@example.org / 919.828.7834.
VAE is committed to making this exhibition as accessible as possible, if you have any additional accommodation requests, please contact Kyle Hazard: email@example.com / 919.828.7834
