THE BENEFICIARY: Enloe Charity Ball’s 2019 beneficiary is Southeast Raleigh Promise. Our ambitious goal is to raise $200,000 to support the work and vision of Southeast Raleigh Promise, and we need your help. We are energized by Southeast Raleigh Promise’s work to support families right in Enloe’s backyard. As a “community quarterback,” Southeast Raleigh Promise spearheaded the effort to open Southeast Raleigh Elementary School and managed the collaborations that led to the Beacon Site, which will include a new YMCA, 120 units of affordable housing, and more. Southeast Raleigh Promise will offer afterschool academic enrichment to Southeast Raleigh Elementary students. They will provide direct and referral services that connect the families of the 457 students attending Southeast Raleigh Elementary with financial, nutritional, and social services that support the whole child, and will continue to play a key leadership role in bringing affordable housing to Southeast Raleigh.
