VAE produces 60+ exhibitions each year, displaying the work of about 1600 artists annually in our Martin Street gallery spaces as well as in community venues. See what's on view today here.
We want to reward artists who work hard and think outside the box. Most of VAE's exhibits are group shows blind juried by curators and art professionals from around the country. This allows artists' work to evaluated purely on merit rather than resume content, leveling the playing field for emerging artists. We also coordinate non-juried exhibits to give everyone's work a chance to been seen through the year.
VAE exhibitions are organized in partner venues around the Triangle, but are predominantly centered in VAE's downtown Raleigh gallery, which is home to three distinct exhibit spaces: THE LAB, Main Gallery, and The Cube. Click the graphics to see what's happening in each of these venues.
All gallery exhibitions are open to the public five days a week and during monthly First Friday gallery walks. There is never an admission charge.
